Chronology of cameras Chinon
In 1970, Chinon was still only a subcontractor for other camera brands. It was only around 1972 that the first cameras were marketed under the Chinon brand. At that time, it was easy to follow a naming logic for the first models:
EE = Electronic Eye
F = Flash
A = Autofocus

With the 35 FX III, Chinon reached the limits of its naming logic. Despite being called 35, this model no longer has anything in common with its predecessors.

The Chinon 35 FA Super retains the general appearance and many characteristics of the Chinon 35 FA II, but it has a brighter lens with an aperture of 2.8. Film loading is made easier with automatic positioning on the first frame. The minimum focusing distance is shorter. The viewfinder of the Super includes three icons indicating the approximate focusing distance.
